This Schottler Family Christmas - No Gifts For Adults?
I solemnly pledge to NOT give gifts to Schottler Family adults who are not my children this Christmas season. I will also not buy gifts for adults under the guise of "but it's not from me! It's from my child/your God child!" ;-)
I will repurpose that time spent hunting for the perfect gift spending more time with my family instead this holiday season. As much as I am able, I will participate in spontaneous Schottler family gatherings including but not limited to--game days & nights (example pictured), sleigh rides, sledding, Christmas cookie baking, football watching, and more to make memories--the most precious gift of all.
In moments where I am tempted to buy a gift for a Schottler family adult, I will remain strong and steadfast instead sending that person a text or an email saying "I'm thinking about you!"
If I get desperate to feel that joyful feeling of hunting for & giving the perfect gifts for another adult, I will donate money instead through adopting a family or to another charitable cause I am passionate about.
To this I solemnly pledge.
