Comments: From the debate it was clear that there were those who were voting against women bishops and NOT against the measure. I am ashamed to be an Anglican.

Comments: Our representatives to the deanery synod are simply the only people willing to volunteer, so no wonder they are not representative. Next time, we should vote for women bishops with no opt outs for the women haters, their position is untenable and we shoud not make concessions to them. We are commanded to love one another and that does not mean telling half the world they are unworthy human beings.

Comments: I would like to see all of Christianity realise that women should take an equal position in all roles within the churches and ministry. It is time to bring the Patristic Period to an end. The Church Fathers erased the role of women in early church and the Christian religions have continued to reduce women for the past 18 centuries. This is only a very brief summary, but, a worthwhile point for further investigation.

Comments: Why not simply give indivudual members on the Electoral Rolls of the parish churches the right to a secret vote for representatives in the House of Laity?
