For purposes of ensuring national security and domestic tranquility, Congress shall be required to stay in session until they get their house in order, display statesmenship, and finally pass a balanced budget that resolves the current politically devised sequestration and debt ceiling crises that are devaluing our credit rating and leading us towards yet another economic recession. In the famous words of Abraham Lincoln, "A House divided will not stand," and our country will not survive if we allow special interest factions to undermine our children's futures by playing partisan political games with our nation's economic future. Our government must stop spending money it does not have, we need tax loop-hole reform, & we must demand more accountability & transparity from our politicians. The future of our republic is in dire jeopardy now, and our political leaders must muster sufficient courage to do what is in the best interests for a majority of the voters of America, rather than for only the monied interests that pay them large campaign contributions. Decisions in Washington must once again be made with "We the People" in mind, not the "They the Fortune 500."
