Comments: a blanket ban is an unfair proposal because vets prescribe swimming in the sea as a treatment for bad tendons and joins in the same way that doctors prescribe it for humans .... If ye were to propose a reasonable solution like prohibiting horses from Certain blue flag beaches

Comments: In losing horses on the beaches Ireland will lose a part of herself. I imagine tourists losing out on feeling and being a part of Ireland and her landscape.

Comments: It would be such a shame if you restricted where a person can ride a horse. Its not like the horses are on the loose galloping around the beach. They have a trained rider on them all the time. Some people have little to be doing complaining about them.

Comments: We all have a right to decide on how our public spaces are used. Horses have been on our beaches for centuries. Ireland and Galway has a long tradition with horses. Do not remove that civil right.

Comments: Pony Trekking should be allowed on any beaches other than Blue Flag Beaches along our coastline (the criteria for Blue Flag Beaches stipulates no dogs or horses). They should be allowed to enjoy all other beaches, and horse owners to be responsible for their waste.
