The petition
Northside Middle school is part of a very supportive, fast growing community. The County Board of Education could change that with the loss of two teachers.
The school currently has one teacher per core subject per grade. If two teachers were taken out of the school on random it would cause an increase in the number of students per class. The average number of students in a class is about 23. Add about 13 more. 30 to 35 students in a single class is a riot waiting to happen. Teachers would have trouble maintaining stability in the classroom which could possibly lower test scores because the students are not learning the criteria.
Parents naturally want the best education possible for their children. The added students would deprive them of a more-so one-on-one learning expierence needed for those who need a little extra help. Another teacher would have to take on the task of teaching an extra subject, leading to less time for the teacher to prepare an intresting class assignment for them to learn with.
Students deserve to get the best education possible under unavoidable cercumstances, but this is avoidable! With your help we can keep our teachers! Sign this online petition and get your parents to sign too! We need over one thousand signatures to get this to the county board. Without you we can't get everything we need to live life the way we want. Please help our school!
