ATTENTION....all horse owners/riders in the New Kent County area. There is a new community park under construction on Henpeck Road, there are tenative plans as to what type of facility this park could be use for. There is no concrete plan for this park. We hereby suggest the use for this community park to be used by and for horse owners and riders. The land could accomadate a 200x300 riding ring and ample parking for trucks/trailers. Without much cost to the county or county residents! The land is already cleared! The park will be used for 4-H groups, pleasure riders and trail riders that want and need a safe riding facility to work a horse. The park could also accomadate a shelter and a multi-use non motorized walking/bridle trail. The next meeting for Parks and Recreation is Sept.21 at the EOC meeting room in the County Admin Bldg. Also, contact your district supervisor to have your opinion heard. |
