Improve NJ Transit Service!

The petition

We, the undersigned, call on the Governor of the State of New Jersey to demand improved service from the New Jersey Transit Corporation.

Service, particularly on the rail lines in and out of New York City, is inadequate and frequently delayed or cancelled due to equipment failure and traffic. When onboard trains, customers are faced with overcrowding, poor service, and unsatisfactory climate control.

While riders are expected to pay ever increasing fares, they can expect little in return for the premium price they pay to patronize New Jersey's public transportation system.

The New Jersey Transit Corporation must be forced to improve on time service, equipment conditions, and capacity in the name of the riders whose voices have been, until now, grossly ignored.
