Chelsea’s Law; this law calls for mandatory life sentence for violent crimes against children. It also has guidelines and requires the lifelong tracking of certain sex offenders. Keeping them away from schools and children zones. The "one-strike" provision applies to forcible sex crimes against minors that include aggravating factors, such as the victim's age or whether the victim was bound or drugged. This law was signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in California on September 9, 2010. Anyone convicted of certain sex offenses against a child in California will get life in prison without parole. The law was named for 17-year-old Chelsea King, who was murdered this year by a registered sex offender who also admitted having killed 14-year-old Amber Dubois. This should have been prevented! It's our job to keep our children safe. This should not only be a state law, this should be a National Law. There are sex offenders everywhere! This needs to be endorsed in every state.
