Comments: Sony really dropped the ball with that ad. Talk about talking with your foot in your mouth. They must feel like the Nigerian market for their products is a drop in the ocean compared to elsewhere.

Comments: So many white people have been burned by the scams coming from NairaLand though, this is how they show it. As new comers, we need to work a little bit harder to show them we are not all bad. It is just how it is, when we look different and come from a country that is alien to them and has a bad reptuation. I have a few white friends. They have all been scammed by believing the nonsense that is sent to them online.

Comments: I have to say..I kind of agree with Sony's Advertisement. When I check my email these days...whether it be my 'Florence' mail...or my 'Susi' mail...or one of my other email addresses...like the one above...they are ALL filled with nonsense from Nigeria. Not just about having millions of naira or dollars transferred to my account.. But the sad...sick..cyber romance scammers. They will try to forge a connection for a while before hitting me up for thousands of dollars & then vanishing. I say this bcos a good friend of mine committed suicide last year...after she realized that the Nigerian who claimed to be in 'sincere love with her'...had vanished after she had wired thousands of dollars via Western Union to pay for his..'medical bills'...as he was 'coming to visit her' and got 'into an accident'. If Nigerians want to develop a good reputation then they should behave properly. Sadly..it seems to me that trusting a Nigerian man is just about the stupidest thing any lady can do. I know I never will. And it is all the result of these nonsense emails under the guise of sincere love & caring that bombard my inbox....
