The petition

Over 6000 people are diagnosed with Kidney Cancer each year in the UK.

The majority of these patients will turn to the National Health Service (NHS) for treatment, only to find that the options that are readily available in most other developed countries are not available to them in the UK as the processes and procedures are either outright rejecting these treatments due to cost or slowing down the approval and funding of these treatments to the point where many of the patients who desperately need these medications will literally run out of time and die.

This is barbaric and needs to change NOW.

Patients and their advocates are the strongest voice in this battle. We can win it, but we need all the help we can get. YOU can help by simply signing our petition to lobby for the expedited approval of Sunitinib (Sutent) and Sorafenib (Nexavar). It costs nothing but a few seconds of your time, and will help save many lives.

Kidney Cancer is not a high profile disease such as Breast Cancer, but it should be. It is a vicious disease that is notoriously difficult to treat in its advanced stages which, tragically, is often when it is diagnosed as it's a "silent killer", and many patients do not realise they have the disease until the very late stages.
