    Comments: Aspartame could easily be taken out of our food and drinks and replaced with things like stevia, agave, and more that are pure, natural, and can be used by those with diabetes. Ban Aspartame at least for our children's sake!

    Comments: I have been prescribed sandocal calcium 1000mg twice a day by nhs doctors since 3 years ago. I have seen on the label that it contains sweetner E951 aspartame and it worries me.In the past I asked my Gp to change my prescription to another form of calcium and he said no. he said that this is the srongest calcium available and suitable for me as I don't have the parathyroids. 2 years ago I started having heart palpitations and fast heart rate. It is now even worse ( 100 beats per minute while i am awake!!!!!). I've seen a cardiologist and at the moment I am having various tests to dignose my heart condition. For the past few months I started having a ringing noise in my ears especially at night. It is so bad sometimes that I can't sleep. and the worst thing is that I noticed that i can't remember things anymore. Sometimes I can't remember what I did the day before. It is really scary. I forget even things that happened hours earlier. Unfortunately these are not all the side effects that I am experiencing but the list is too long to write now. Today 7th of June 2010 is the first time when I looked into aspartame and I realised that I suffer a lot because of it. This week I will go to my GP again and disscuss my symptoms with him. I hope he prescribes me something else. This E951 should indeed be banned. It s teriffing finding out that I am taking POISON twice a day as directed by my GP. I simply can't belive it!!!! Please stop using it in tablets!!!!!! Kind regards

    Comments: It's a shocking conspiracy between Goverments in countries and greedy Billio Dollar corporations making money off this insidious toxic chemical i.e Coca Cola Corporation!!!.Our Governments allow the sales to continue...why??? because they get a sneaky cut of any money made by these cororations???...These companies refuse to acknowledge the adverse effects of aspartame and in fact keep lying and bringing in so called EXPERTS to tell the masses that it actually has NO ill effects on human health i mean they would NOT want to lose money if everyone decided to STOP poisoning themselves with their rubbish would they .To be frank we as a human race and collective consciousness MUST start to stand up and fight for our rights...we as the consumers are putting the money in the Government and billion dollar Corporations pockets!!!

The FDA should ban it because consumers and doctors don't realize that consuming it, primarily through regular and sugarless chewing gum - soda pop soft drinks - coffee sweetener, is the reason they're experiencing muscle spasms - contractions - cramps - charley horses in toes and feet while dietary levels of electrolytes and minerals: potassium - magnesium - calcium are normal.
