Name: MICHAEL BUCHINA on Sep 26, 2005State: CTCountry: USComments: ITS A DAMN CRYING SHAME THAT SOME ONE SHOULD COME ALONG AND WITHOUT VIRTUALLY NO IMPUT FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC BUT ONLY WHAT THE MAYOR SAYS THE PUBLIC WANTS,THAT A PLACE LIKE THE NEW HAVEN VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM HAS TO BE CLOSED UP,IMPLODED CLEARED AWAY, THEN BE NOTHING BUT GENERAL OPEN SPACE TO THE PUBLIC.THE MAYOR OF NEW HAVEN DOES NOT CARE WHAT THE PEOPLE OF NEW HAVEN REALLY THINK/CARE THAT THE COLISEUM, WAS MORE THAN JUST A PLACE TO SEE SPORTING EVENTS SUCH AS HOCKEY,BASKETBALL,ARENA FOOTBALL WRESTLING, CONCERTS,ICE SHOWS ETC... ETC... WHERE ARE ALL THE TALKS, DISCUSSIONS THAT WERE TO BE HELD ON BEHALF OF THE COLISEUM. I FOR ONE WILL NEVER, EVER PATRONAGE ANYONE IN THE DOWN TOWN AREA WHEN THE COLISEUM IS IMPLODED,CLEARED. THE ONLY BUSINESSES I SHALL EVER GO TO/ PATRONAGE WILL BE THE COLISEUM NEWS STAND (ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE COLISEUM SIE) AND TKs WHICH IS ON GEORGE STREET, ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE FORMER S.N.E.T. BLDG. I HOPE THAT ALL WHO SEE THIS COMMENT WILL DO THE SAME ALSO PLEASE E-MAIL ME ASAP WITH YOUR COMMENTS ON MY COMMENT ON THE ISSUE OF THE NEW HAVEN VETERANS MEMORIAL COLISEUM. TO ALL THAT I HAVE HAD THE UTMOST PLEASURE OF MEETING AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER BEING AT A HOME GAME, AWAY GAME, WRESTLING OR WHATEVER. I SAY THIS TO YOU ALL WITH GREAT,GREAT, FEELING. Name: Ryan Dunbar on Jan 29, 2006State: SCCountry: USComments: I guess it's too late, but I think the New Haven Coliseum should be saved and renovated to make it better than ever before. I have many fond memories of growing up in CT. and my grandparents taking me to watch the Nighthawks play. I'm now greatfull to have the Columbia Inferno here in South Carolina. It's not nearly as popular as the Nighthawks were in New Haven, but Hockey is catching on here in SC.Flag
