Comments: I saw the thing being built and went to my first show there (3-dog night)please don't let it go the way of the Arena that would be a disgrace to the city. Hay John Have A Hart, keep it and let it make money for the city. but most of all give me a chance to come home every once in a while

Comments: New Haven Coliseum fans deserve the opportunity to get state or private funding to give the Coliseum the facelift it needs to be successfull. Tearing it down will only end the city's rich sports heritage. Shame on Governor Rowland for continuing to allow the demise of sports in Connecticut. Remember the Whalers! One way to remember is to vote him out of office since he has publicly stated he will no longer support pro sports in this state. Shame on him and shame on Destafino for not supporting sports in his own city.

Comments: Only the people can stop the destruction of the Coliseum. No one is allowed the luxury of expecting someone else to do it for them. Together we can form a mighty army to stop the State of Connecticut from appropriating money to destroy the Coliseum

Comments: Please keep the Coliseum going. It's the only place without having to travel almost 100 miles to see a decent show. It has been a tradition for my family since my kids were small, and now I take my grandchildren there to see shows.

Comments: my boyfriend and i have attended a couple of new haven knights games at the new haven coliseum, despite the almost two hour drive to new haven (he lives in rockland county, ny, and i live in bergen county, nj.), and we would continue to go to a few games per season if the knights came back. we also saw the harlem globetrotters there, and we like the arena very much; it is just the right size and has a great atmosphere, so we would look for other events to go to there too. please don't demolish it.

Comments: Please save the Coliseum. I saw my first concert there in 1976 and even though I now live 40 miles away, I would continue to frequent it. No other venue has the intimacy of the Coliseum. Please, please don't tear it down. Thank you.

Comments: My whole opinion is that even if the Coliseum no longer operates as a public venue, it should be adapted to some other use. It is incredibly wasteful to tear the building down simply to build another in it's place. If another building gets placed there, that is. Malleys is still a smoking hole in the center of New Haven year after demolition.

Comments: Believe it or not, it was the building that got me interested in architecture. It was a trip to have my parents drive up the corkscrew parking ramps and ride down the longest escalators i had ever seen. the building was never completed- there is potential to reprogram and contextualize without it looking looking like the Post-Mortem...I mean Modern stuff in the area.
