Dear Roger Goodell, NFL, and NFL Sponsors: We understand that you have reinstated Michael Vick to the NFL after his conviction of extreme animal abuse including dog abuse including "executing eight dogs that did not perform well [and] hanging, drowning, and/or slamming one dog's body to the ground and including one dog that was electrocuted." This is a man who admits that he stole or took people's pets and used them as pit bull bait: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/storyid=3718304 We petitioners understand that Michael Vick was sent to prison to pay for his crimes, but we also understand that no animal society, such as the National Humane Society of the United States, has received any apology or donation to demonstrate remorse by Michael Vick. We request that Michael Vick, on behalf of the NFL, air commercials on national television that apologize for his animal cruelty and we request that a sizable donation in the amount of $1,000,000.00 be given to the National Humane Society as a gesture of his true regret. We are also offended that he has continued to misrepresent pit bulls as a whole because he has added to the perception that they are dogs to be used for fighting when in fact they may be loving pets and have to fight public prejudice because of actions such as those of Michael Vick. Therefore, until these two actions occur, national public television apology and a $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) donation to the National Humane Society, we will boycott not only NFL games, but also your sponsors which include: Reebok Pepsi General Motors Anheuser-Busch Fed-Ex SalesGenie.com Verizon Ameriquest Mortgage iHOP Restaurant Bank of America UnderArmour Athletic Sports Apparel Kellogg's Cereals. ANY COMPANY IN THE ABOVE LIST WHO IS A SPONSOR WILL BE BOYCOTTED BY THE UNDERSIGNED IN OUR REQUEST TO THE NFL AND NFL SPONSORS TO DISASSOCIATE AND PROFESSIONALLY SEPARATE FROM AN INDIVIDUAL WHOSE CRIMES ESTABLISH THE VERY WORST EXAMPLE OF A HUMAN BEING POSSIBLE AS A ROLE MODEL FOR CHILDREN. UNLESS MICHAEL VICK MAKES THE REPARATIONS LISTED ABOVE INCLUDING PUBLIC APOLOGIES AIRED DURING NFL COMMERCIAL TIME AND A $1,000,000.00 DONATION TO THE NATIONAL HUMANE SOCIETY, WE WILL CONTINUE OUR BOYCOTT OF YOU AND YOUR SPONSORS.
