We the fans, of Moster Energy Supercross, wish to see the start procedure changed. We are tired of seeing the first 5 seconds of the race have such a huge impact on a 25+ minute race. We deserve to see our favorite, fastest riders at the front of the pack on the first lap of every race. Not only are we deserving, but so are the riders. They put in tons of work each and every week, and sometimes the best of the best can get caught up in the first turn and their race is over. We believe that a different procedure on the starts can make the racing even better, and will ensure that the best riders will always have a shot at the win. We believe this should be the ultimate goal of the race. To get the race started, not decide the race in the first turn. Just for the sake of it, here a couple of suggestions that could potentially make the starts better. #1 Make every start a single file line down the start stretch like what is done following a red flag. Base each riders starting position off of their heat races like you currently do their gate picks. #2 Stagger the starting line similar to what is done in Arenacross. Make two rows of 10 riders, with the fastest 10 of the heat races on the front row. Please, take this petition into consideration, as all we want is fair, hard core racing and we no longer wish for the first .003% of the race to be of such importance.
