Comments: These unsightly, messy boxes obstruct the flow of pedestrian traffic (they are often thrown over), spew paper garbage all over the streets, reduce the value of property on which they are situated. Why are they allowed at all? Get rid of them now!!

Comments: In many areas news boxes have become permanent street trash. Se for example, Bowery at Houston St. Restrict them to certain places, like subway entrances and no other.. And enforce maintenance.

Comments: Why is the 300-block West 23rd Street being used as a dumping ground for the unsightly boxes removed from "classier" neighborhoods?? This block is the main thoroughfare for people going to galleries, the HighLine, and Chelsea Piers. What a disgusting environment to walk through! We've had these eyesores on every street corner, and now they're strewn mid-block. What "lack of personnel" carried this garbage here ?!!

Comments: The appearance of the 9th ave it's getting so horrible because of the trashy newsracks . it;s extreamly disapointing that after the amount of taxes we pay we are forced to live in this way . they are located in the corners of 37 st and 9th ave, corner of 39 and 9th ave and 40 st and 9th ave. they contain garbage, they are used as urinals, and they create a lot of litter on the street and sidewalks. They must be removed.
