We the undersigned support the establishment of a new Secondary School in Limerick.

This year 65 students were without secondary places in Limerick, and the Department of Education has admitted that this figure will grow. The Department plans to provide for a few new schools, to fulfill its obligation to the Constitutional right of children to education. Therefore, getting a new school up and running in the near future is a real possibility.

Furthermore, the current lottery system means that many children do not get into local schools, or do not get the schools of their choice. This results in long commutes across the city, and in many cases, throughout the county.

A group of parents at the Educate Together primary school has identified a proposed site, with good access from all routes, and has received the support of a growing number of TD's for this new secondary school.

Please sign and help to get this new school approved by the Department.
