| 806 | Russell Rezek | I think it is a farce that NPR is going to cancel News and Notes. This is clearly one of the better shows that NPR produces. |

| 813 | Stacy Sterling | To whom it may concern at NPR:
I am so dissapointed in your decision to cancel News and Notes. This show represented one of the few shows on NPR which came at an understanding of current events with an eye toward their impact on communities of color. The show is notable in its presentation of diverse and often contradictory points of view in a collegial way. Its presenters - Chideya and Cox - were terrific. What a loss to the national conversation. Shame on you, NPR!

| 822 | Alison Daltroy | I am saddened to see the cancellation of News and Notes and considered it to be an important and enlightening show. I work with an African-American history website used by libraries and schools nationally, for which we have a timeline updated monthly with news critical to the African-American community. I consider News and Notes to be a valuable resource in my work and the gap that its closing leaves will be very hard to fill. |

| 827 | AC Baylor | To whom it may concern,
I have been a listner of News and Notes for a few years. I am also a listner of NPR. Basically, I have always and truthfully it has been a honor to have the opportunity to listen to some of the most critical thinkers in the African American community that I cannot get any place else. With this annoucement of cancellation, please reconsider this decision to see how this show can remain. This is a very very important show that more individuals need to listen too. Please reconsider. |

| 829 | Rev. Dr. E-K. Daufin | You must walk your talk about African-American programming! |
| 830 | Lloyd Bergman | I am White and I am very disappointed about the decision to cut News & Notes. It was not just a show about Black issues but it gave all of us a unique opportunity to hear various different Black perspectives on ALL issues of the day. I understand funding is down but to cut this show because it had low ratings and low funding is not what I thought NPR was about. Like Tavis Smiley had said in the past, a show like this should be promoted, not cut! |
