Name: Claudia Furnell on Jun 25, 2007Comments: I definitely believe that this is something needed for the Townsville region. Our current rink was never designed to be a long term facility and we are desperately in need of a full size facility to develop the fantastic sports who utilise it to their full potential. As well as this it is of great benefit to the whole community as it provides a cool and sunsafe option for children in the heat of the tropics.Flag

Name: Michael Hall on Jul 4, 2007Comments: I have been a resident of Townsville for 15 years had have spent many a happy and memorable time with my wife and children in the Warrina Ice Rink. It is clear that the facility gives great joy - and amusement - to families and children as well as sports clubs. It is a very valuable asset to the sport and lifestyle portfolio for Townsville and strongly urge the council to do everything within its power to help keep this capability and facility operational which unique in this part of the world.Flag
