Dan KrasinskiAside from the social benefits, a championship caliber disc golf course would be of economic benefit to the surrounding community. Good courses cause large multiday tournaments which draw many players from all over the place who need food, hotels, beer, gas, and many other things. Elburn

AnonymousI'm a touring professional disc golfer and have played over 250 courses in Japan and US. "Disc Golf is the fastest growing sport you've never heard of" Kids and adults will enjoy your facility, traveling out of their way to play your course! Then they will see what a great park you've made available. Chris Sprague #16425
Tafe HemlerAny new courses installed should be of championship caliber. There are already too many small, recreational 9-hole courses in the Chicago area. We need to draw some large events to the area to have any chance of recuperating some costs.
Jay SvitkoAs a former PDGA State coordinator for Indiana and former Illinois resident, I totally agree that Forest Preserve property should set aside for Disc Golf, the sport of the future. It may help also help discourage the dumping of bodies in the preserves if they had more live people (disc golfers) circulating throughout them.
Gene AmistaniDisc Golf is a growing sport. More facilities should be provided.
Allen frieloI would favor 27 Hole minimum Championship Course.

Jason W. HallCity of Residence: Woodstock, IL. I send out a huge "thank you" to the Lake County Land Preservation and Acquisition Committee for considering a championship calibur disc golf course in Lake County. As a resident of neighboring McHenry county, I revel at the opportunity to actually play a course that challenges my skill level and promotes the sport of disc golf the way it was intended. I would spend every weekend that I could at your forest preserve, if the course is designed in a fashion which is better than the courses located in my area currently. Disc golf is a very fun sport. I am 31 years old and I plan on playing disc golf so as long as I can walk. It is fun, great exercise, and a great way to meet people. It promotes the enjoyment of our true natural resources, something ball golf and standard golf courses does not. Thanks again!
Chris MajerczykGet it done!
robert walkerI am a married 43 year old professional male who totally supports this project. My family and I would utilize the Lake County Forest Preserve much more frequently if this amenity were made available. We would be willing to pay a fee to play Disc Golf on a championship caliber course in a forest preserve. Thank you for your consideration.

ScottThis would be agreat idea. I really don't get the chance to play anymore as much as I would like, but when I do get the chance it wouold be nice to play a championship quality course instead of all these little 9 hole courses that we have now.

Jason ParkerI am in favor of having a championship calibur course installed in lake county. Par 4's and 5's are the future of our sport. We need more courses that require challenging golf shots & require skill.

Andy WyattWe definitely need a championship calibur course in Lake County.
Erin WyattIt would be great to have a new disc golf course in Lake County.
Brian Earhartdisc golf is a huge sport and its getting bigger with every passing year. courses around lake county are usually packed to the maximum with people just learning to play. having a championship calibur course would allow serious players to have a place where they can play a challenging course without the huge amounts of new players. if the course is made technical and long enough, newer players will not be playing this course often, which also means that vandalism and littering will be greatly decreased. serious league and tournament players dont play courses to vandalize and litter, they go to golf, and golf only. This would be an incredible addition to the community and it would be great for the sport as well.

Dave MatzlI think disc golf is a wonderful opportunity for all ages to enjoy our Lake County Forest Preserves.
B Corbewould be nice to use the land wihout hurting it.

Nathan BaronI am happy with the parks we have, but having a championship course close to my house would be amazing. Real disc golfers leave the course better than they found it and do not litter or vandalize. Lake County Forest Preserve could even charge a small pay-to-play fee that disc golfers would pay if the course is good enough.
