Whereas I am a New York resident or visitor; and
Whereas I enjoy celebrating Independence Day with fireworks; and
Whereas I assert my unalienable right to the pursuit of happiness by purchasing and using my own fireworks;
Therefore, I demand an annual exemption be added to the New York Penal Law for "Class C" fireworks possessed from June 28 through July 11.
