Alfred Trenkler has been incarcerated in federal prison for nearly 25 years for a crime he did not commit.
Since his conviction in 1993, the entirely circumstantial evidence that originally implicated him has been roundly discredited. Strict post-conviction statute of limitations periods have demanded immediate filings, meaning that there has been no opportunity to view the evidentiary landscape as a whole. Viewed as a whole, Trenkler's innocence is undeniable.
Trenkler sits in federal prison despite the absence of any credible evidence that he actually committed the crime.
We urge you to do everything in your power to bring about a new trial for Alfred Trenkler.

I spend my days reviewing the case files and waiting for a response that still has not come. My brother loses another day of his life behind bars while we wait for the truth to be acknowledged.

Seeing this momentum grow brings me such relief because Alfred has spent far too long behind bars for a crime he did not commit. This surge of interest proves that people are finally looking at the facts of his case and seeing the same injustice I have lived with for years.

I have known Alfred since childhood. He is not the kind of person to harm anyone. He was often blamed for what others did. That's what happened here. My codolences to the families of the slain and injured police officers. But we still need to find who really did this and free my friend and neighbor Alfred.
I have been convinced of Alfred's innocence for many years. There is no actual evidence against him--only coincidence and innuendo. In a new trial, I'm sure he would be acquitted.
I have been an advocate for Alfred Trinkler and have built a web site showing how Alfred was wrongfully convicted, why he is innocent and why his conviction should be overturned.
I went to grade school with Alfred and can attest to his character. More importantly, I have read all of the documentation and (lack of) evidence, which convinced me that Alfred is innocent . The situation dictates that Mr Trenkler deserves a new trial.
As explained in my book, "Perfectly Innocent - The Wrongful Conviction of Alfred Trenkler," Alfred is perfectly innocent of the crimes for which he was convicted in 1993.

I was with Al the night he supposedly planted the bomb It was at my apartment with John Cates who has since passed on And he was there the whole night we never slept we stayed up the whole night
