We, the undersigned, have recently become aware of Purdue University Calumet's promotion and endorsement of Mr. Bruzonsky, who makes rabid anti-Semitic arguments such as: Zionism has infiltrated the United States; Jews control the media; Jews control U.S. foreign policy; and Jews have a problem of dual loyalty (to name a few examples). Despite this rank anti-Semitism, Mr. Bruzonsky gave a presentation at Purdue University Calumet on 9/27/13 and was heralded as providing "keen" and "impressive insight" on the Middle East. In truth, Mr. Bruzonsky's news analyses are riddled with rank anti-Semitism and vile and vicious caricatures of Jews and Israel.
We are outraged that Purdue University Calumet, even after its administration became aware of the anti-Semitism and rank Jew hatred promoted by Mr. Bruzonsky, that it would continue to promote his presentation through the University's official marketing department. While Dr. Kamalipour, the professor who brought Mr. Bruzonsky to campus, is free to bring any speaker he wants to campus (even a promoter of Jew hatred), there is no obligation on the part of any official arm of the University to promote and endorse a speaker. The fact that Purdue University Calumet continued to promote and endorse Mr. Bruzonsky's presentation is outrageous and unacceptable.
Therefore, we respectfully request that Purdue University Calumet's administration publicly condemn Mr. Bruzonsky's anti-Semitic news analyses, the vile caricatures of Jews he disseminates, and to distance itself from the anti-Semitism promoted by Mr. Bruzonsky.
