| 401 | Margaret J. Nelson | It should be the aim of state universities to educate students to become useful members of the body politic. In America, it is both the right and the duty of citizens to peaceably assemble and protest government wrong-doing.
Both the American military and the CIA are currently engaged in activities detrimental to the security of America and the world.
Therefore, Mr. Barrios and Mr. Larson were doing their civic duty when they protested the CIA recruitment activities. They should be applauded, rather than prosecuted, by NEIU.
Ms. Wagner should be required to read the entire Bill of Rights aloud from a stage set up at the center of the campus. | Evanston, Illinois USA |
| 402 | Ted Wilcox, Ph.D. | First amendment rights need to be honored! It appears that the school is trying to limit normal speech by barring these students. | United States |

| 404 | DIckelle Fonda LCSW | It is frightening to think that our students are learning that freedom of speech is expendable; my son is donsidering transferring to NEIU and this gives us pause........drop these charges as a service to the larger community | Evanston Il |
| 405 | Leslie Walsh | I am ashamed that a publicly funded school in my state - one that I attended no less - would willfully obstruct the physical presence of registered students at an event purportedly open to all. O am even more shocked that rights guaranteed by the US Constitution would be negated by this same university.

| 427 | Dale Lehman | Dean Kelly,
There is an ethical and moral code at NEIU. It is embedded in the student regulations, and perhaps else where. The administrations work on behalf of the CIA violates that ethical and moral code.
How can students have any confidence in the professionals who are there to guide their intellectual, professional and civic development, if
those very people, are themselves incapable of discerning right from wrong.

| 437 | Dr. Brett C. Stockdill | As a an Associate Professor at Northeastern Illinois University, I find the university's response to the recent nonviolent protest against CIA recruiters to be repugnant. The university administration should be supporting students' right to free speech (including protest) not assaulting and arresting student protesters. When the university administration violates the rights of students and condones violent political repression, it sets a chilling political and legal precedent that undermines the democratic exchange of diverse political opinions and beliefs. The university's actions also make it vulnerable to both criminal and civil charges. | Chicago, IL |
| 438 | Malgorzata Rog | Ken Barrios and Matt Larson are not guilty of any crime! They had every right to be at that meeting. The charges against them should be dropped immediately! | |
