303 Chris PoulosCharging Matt and Ken with battery and disruption is ridiculous. Anyone that was there (myself included) could see that. Furthermore, the NEIU police were unwilling to talk to anyone else at the scene of the arrest--threatening to arrest those who questioned why Matt and Ken were being arrested. Finally, the reactions of Robin Wagner and Dean Kelly are one of multiple examples of how NEIU discourages student activism.Chicago, IL, US
304 Steve LeighThe whole world is watching! Students have every right to protest the military and CIA recruiters on their campus--as does the general public. Social resources, taxes etc. go to supporting these institutions. We all have the right to express our opinions about them. It is especially outrageous that these students get prosecuted for simply doing what all other students were allowed to do, enter a campus event. Drop the charges now! Show that you have at a least a minimal respect for the right of free speech!Steve Leigh

321 Mike WoloshinIf an event is promoted as open to all students, without pre-registration, then school administrators have no authority to restrict attendance!Robin Wagner should be either suspended or fired for denying student access to an open meeting!Tower Lakes, IL.

326 Erik LoboI am a military veteran, member of Veterans For Peace, and have been a cop since 1983. Students are recruited all the time. If students have a disagreement with any recruiters, the students are always assumed to be wrong. We must honor and respect the Constitution, and the rights it guarantees. I took several oaths over the years to support, protect and defend the Constitution. I will continue to do so.Chicago, Il. United States
327 Eric KerlIt is absolutely obscene that students enrolled are forbidden from entering a forum on campus because of their alternative viewpoints. The administration should be ashamed of itself.Chicago, IL, US

341 Brad JohnsonThese students should not have to face penalties, financial or otherwise, that will burden their semesters based on their actions. They exercised their right to protest non-violently against an entity much stronger than their voices. It's only fair that these charges be dismissed. If not, you can expect much more public attention on this issue.Chicago
