Name: Mitchel Cohen on Mar 3, 2007Comments: It is fascinating that the university extends freedom of speech to the CIA but not to those who PAY to go to the university who oppose what the CIA is saying -- and doing. If the CIA and military recruiters won't let antiwar students into their offices to talk with potential recruits, why should we let them into OUR offices -- our campuses -- to recruit for their murder, assassinations and death squads The students, as usual, show the way. The fact that the University arrests them for trying to enter a meeting -- not even for actually disrupting the event which should never have even been taking place to begin with -- is fascism in action and must be stopped at all costs. We've been there in the 60s, yet apparently the new crop of college administrators has learned nothing from that era. So I guess we'll have to teach them, yet again. FREE THE STUDENTS, DROP THE CHARGES ... AND RESIGN! Mitchel Cohen, Brooklyn Greens / Green PartyCity, State, Country: Brooklyn, NYFlag

Name: Lisa Vellenga on Mar 3, 2007Comments: I have been a "student-at-large" at Northeastern and was so impressed by the diversity and activism of students on campus. The news of these student arrests is just unbelievable to me - the criminalization of legitimate political dissent - very disappointing. It is important for students to have the freedom to speak out against our "democratic" government and our military's actions when the lives of young people in the armed forces and the lives of people overseas who may be their victims are at stake. Please consider this.City, State, Country: Chicago, ILFlag
