A shop steward is an employee of a organization or a company who represents and defends his or her fellow employees but who is also a labor union member. As a shop steward you should, take up workers grievances with management, negotiate on all issues which concerns workers. Also take decisions of workers to management, plus report back to after each meeting with management. Represent the views of your workers in the Union structures. Marcus Johnson willfully allowed an employee to be intimidated, harassed and stalked for two day along with the company. Patrick Beheler asked to file a grievance against the company for enabling an employee to be stressed and harassed, he was denied by Marcus Johnson. His lack of commitment and urgency to our matters will eventually get someone terminated or even worse hurt or killed. We the members of local 5287 from Thomas Built Buses/ Daimler do hereby sign this petition to have Marcus Johnson removed as our shop steward/rep.
