Ndokwaland constituting the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency is the second and third largest ethnic nationality in Delta State and the Niger Delta Region respectively. Ndokwa is also the largest gas repository in West Africa, it hosts Nigeria's first IPP(the 450MW and later 900MW AGIP IPP), the long established Kwale Gas Recycling Plant, over 100 oil/gas wells among other oil & gas installations with 5 new marginal oil/gas fields approved in the area. In spite of all these immense endowment and contributions to the federal and state economy, the area is crudely underdeveloped and politically maligned as it were. Mr. President, we therefore ask that you use your good offices to correct the following; 1. The absence of a Federal and/or State Tertiary institution in Ndokwaland 2.The non-electrification / non-relocation of the immediate host communities around the AGIP IPP in defiance of the EIA and promise by your predecessor when he commissioned the project. 3.The non-inclusion of infrastructural projects in Ndokwa area by the NDDC. 4.The non-representation of any Ndokwa person on the NDDC board/Directorate since its inception. 5. The imposition of political representatives on the Ndokwa people without elections or political consensus by successive PDP Governors of Delta State. 6.The non-appointment of any Ndokwa person as a Minister/Head in any of the Federal Ministries/Parastatals. 7.The non-appointment of any Ndokwa person as an Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
