We the undersigned call on Chancellor Woodson and the NC State Administration to restore the rightful names of the Christmas and Good Friday holidays in next year's Official Calendar.

State law establishes Christmas and Good Friday holidays.  For the university to call them "Winter Holiday" and "Spring Holiday" is both ambiguous, as there are other winter and spring holidays, and an affront to all those whose religious tradition considers these days sacred.
