Name: Jackie Chapman, NBHA/IBRA Member on Feb 4, 2013Comments: DISAGREE WITH PETITION, Looking through these comments someone wrote NBHA is all about NBHA, and this policy is not in the best interest for families and its members. Think about it. This is exactly who the NBHA is trying to protect, its members, especially the families. So yes, the NBHA is all about the NBHA. This combining of classes only benefits those that are members of both associations. Its not in the best interest to the NBHA member to charge them a fee for another association if they dont want to run in the other associations class. Just as it isn't fair to charge a member of another association an NBHA fee if they don't want to run the NBHA class. By combining the class you are forcing these fees on these riders. These fees must be enforced because they keep the associations operating. Think about this, NBHA is allowed 18 sanctioned shows per district per year. Thats 18 weekends or 4 months worth of shows. Your concerned with the economy, what about two day shows, or double sanctioning in one day.(Two shows one day). Now your down to 9 weekends or two months. I'm sure most people show more than two months out of the year. The other association has no limit on sanctioning, so that leaves 43 weekends available to accumulate points in the other associations barrel races. I'm sure the NBHA realizes they are not the only association out there for barrel racers, but they are protecting their members and the District, State and Regional Directors are only enforcing a rule that has been in the book since 1992.Flag

Name: Michelle Gwyn on Feb 7, 2013Comments: This is very frustrating for us who live up in Bartlett, TN. There are not enough races in TN for my daughter to acquire enough points to compete with others who do have a sufficient amount of races and that is why we made our membership to MS-01. Now that NBHA has split with Marshall County Fairgrounds, all the sanctioned races that have be rescheduled elsewhere are too far for us to go. That is not fair to my daughter. We paid for a membership that we can't even use now. Please, please reconsider this!!Flag
