Name: Elizabeth Guthrie on Oct 14, 2002Comments: No need to become a member if I know I can't travel all the way to Augusta, GA for the Championships. I believe there are many members that are from the Texas, OK region and many can't make that drive as I can't either.Flag

Name: Raquel DeValk on Oct 14, 2002Comments: Having been a member for five years, I have heard numerous complaints about World Championships in GA. I attended Youth Worlds in 1998 in Memphis and that was a long enough haul. I have tossed around the idea to go to Augusta, but I just couldn't justify the distance. A more centralized location would be much more appealing. Oklahoma City, Denver, Memphis, and Abilene are all examples of facilities that can hold this magnitude of an event. I also think that the event should be held during the spring following the qualifying year. This way, weather is not a factor. I will be passing this on to my fellow NBHA members. I appreciate your time.Flag

Name: Brittney Mitchell on Oct 14, 2002Comments: The travel is so long and it would take quite a few days for horses of great distance to acclimate to the drive as well as the humid climate. Oklahoma would be a fair distance for us to travel without complaint as we have done Texas many times.Flag

Name: Cheri Kyle on Oct 14, 2002Comments: I believe it would only be fair to all of the members across the United States to have this event centrally located. I have qualified for the World for the past 3 years. I cannot possible take as much time off work that would be required to travel such a long distance, not to mention the stress on my horse. You would have a much larger turnout if it were more centralized.Flag

Name: Karee Nation on Oct 14, 2002Comments: The number one reason that I'm not an active memeber in the NBHA isn't because of my lack of ability. I know I could easily qualify for the world, but just can't take off from all of my (other) horses to go to GA for a week. I hope you'll move this one closer to home.Flag

Name: Janine Snyder on Oct 14, 2002Comments: As the District Co-Director for Colorado District 5, I know that many of our members would willingly go to the World show if it were held in Oklahoma City or Wichita. Currently, it is too hard on our horses to travel the distance to Augusta, as much as we would love to attend a World Show. As a Director, I feel some degree of guilt for not attending each year, however, I cannot justify the hardship on my horse for the distance.Flag
