Name: Michele Spears on Oct 14, 2002Comments: I am also a director and hear a lot from my members that they will not rejoin if the World is not moved. We are already losing a huge % of our members to American West 4-D, simply because the finals are in Reno, Nevada and we can make that trip in a day or so. My district used to have 90 + members and now I barely have 40. I hope you will seriously consider moving the World Finals to Oklahoma City. Thank you for listening to us! We love the NBHA's format and want a fair chance to compete at the World Finals!Flag

Name: Shari Hall on Oct 14, 2002Comments: I agree with the statements made above, mostly that it all comes down to money. I think it's very sad that members nationwide are starting to see that NBHA members are mostly "padding" executives' pockets, and that the association doesn't really look into the best interest of ALL members, just those that have money.Flag

Name: Tammy Campbell on Oct 14, 2002Comments: As a district director in Arizona one of the biggest challenges I face is convincing people to join NBHA when the World Championships are held in Georgia every year. National points are of little meaning to our district members because none of us can make the haul from Arizona to Georgia anyway.Flag

Name: Karen Phillips on Oct 14, 2002Comments: I would like to see it moved not only to centralize, but I also hate staying one place and having to haul your horses again to show once you get there. I have attended only one time to Ga. We had a good time, but hated all the running around. Will probably not return until it has changed location.Flag

Name: Dustin Caldwell on Oct 14, 2002Comments: I would like to see the show moved because I believe it will increase entries (and pay out)as well as raise the level of competition. I also believe that moving the World show would not only help bring many of our western members who have strayed from the NBHA back in to flock as well as attract many new members.Flag

We would not necessarily have to have it in the fall, we could have it in spring time or early fall.Flag

Name: Leslie Hodges on Oct 14, 2002Comments: From here in central Texas it is a 24 hour drive to Augusta! That is rediculous! If the NBHA World Finals are not moved to a more central location, I will not renew my membership for the upcoming year. There is no point in me working hard all year to qualify if we can not make the finals.Flag

Name: Sharon Heiney on Oct 14, 2002Comments: Was a member for several years and am thinking of rejoining next year. However, it is not feasible to travel over 35 hours to get to Georgia. I therefore do not put NBHA as a top priority when choosing races to go to because I know I will not attend the World Show because of its location. If it was in a more centeralized location, i.e. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas or Colorado, I would make it a priority to attend local and regional races. Look at what Am West has done in the short years it has been in existance, I think NBHA could regain many of its members in the Western States with some changes. Please look at this as a plea for fairness. Thank You, Sharon HeineyFlag
