Comments: Our so-called Democratic Government allied with the big companies is walking over NB citizens with this shale-gas deal. There is absolutely no benefits for us in this experimental fracking, no matter how you look at it. To put our water and our environment, meaning OUR HEALTH, through that risk is absolutely ridiculous if it was a Government representing us. We're talking about non-reversible damages!! But I guess our Government is not representing the people of NB. ...I guess that common sense is not so common in Fredericton. Another one-term Government!

Comments: We need to focus on energy solutions that are sustainable (economically, environmentally, socially) and affordable, rather than grasping at straws as is the current approach re. shale gas. We are NOT a 'have not' province - we have a wealth of talent, brains and RENEWABLE resources that can be developed, so let's get on with it!

Comments: This practice is a flagrant lack of respect towards earth, water, air, nature and humanity. We have great potential for wind energy in New-Brunswick, which could heat our homes with very little environmental impact forever. We do not need to put everything at risk with this aberrant practice, there's other alternatives. Let OUR government balance the wealth by taxing the wealthy, not by lowering the life quality of its people.

Comments: The process of fracturing for shale gas is damaging to the natural environment and aquifer systems, and will itgreatly undermine our property values. This means that we will suffer permanently for the short term benefit of others, because the gas extracted by these means will run out -- and probably sooner than later. The government and energy companies should be investing in renewables.

Comments: We should put a real value on our fresh water, clean air, etc we now enjoy. We should contact areas that have already lost their clean environment by fracking and ask them what the cost will be to put their environment back to normal. How long might it take. We must have these real costs to balance against the gains as the costs must be paid by someone.
