In the fall, 2008, Adam Pooler and Robert Ilich of Tri Bros Enterprises purchased Spring Street Tavern formerly known as Pep's Place. The business had failed, the property condemned and poised serious safety hazards .The intent was to invest in the building and also the surrounding community turning the property into a 3 unit residential use. Doing so would be far more beneficial to the neighborhood than the problem plagued bar that it once was. Mistakes were made in the zoning process by Adam and Robert, having only obtaining a 2 unit use for the property. It was and always has been their full intent to work with the Borough to recognize and correct those mistakes. Since the beginning of what has now become a year and a half long struggle, the zoning laws of the Borough have made it impossible for any parties involved to reach any kind of compromise in an effort to resolve this situation. There have been two zoning hearings held in which community members attended in support of this project, a great deal of time, money and energy has been put forth and wasted because of lack of cooperation and common sense. This property was a black eye on the face of the Nazareth Community, which has now been revitalized into a tax paying, community friendly home for Borough residents. Please offer your signature and support to be heard by your community leaders when it comes to the beneficial rehabilitation of problem properties in Nazareth., Please be a resident of the Nazareth Borough and feel free to contact Adam at (610)972-9093 with questions comments or for official minutes from the hearings.
