National concealed handgun carry permit
The Petition
In the US there are 40 states that recognize the right to carry, 36 of which are "shall issue" states. The time has come for the US to adopt a national CCW license. The right to bear arms is a second amendment right which is being subtly removed. If an individual is deemed suitable to carry a weapon in their state of residence, that individual should not need to prove their suitability to any other state or jurisdiction. Much like the drivers license it would be issued in your state of residence and recognized nationally. I plan to send this petition to my state house (NH) by November 1, 2008.
