When the Coalition Government made the decision to cut £670m from the Department of Education it made the decision to cut fairness and equality from education. Liverpool Students' Union are calling for a National Bursary Scheme. This means a fairer funding system for all students who need financial support at university to enable them to excel. Liverpool John Moores University has already taken a £4.5m cut to its bursary scheme. If we don't act in the next month, bursaries will be cut even further, education will only be an option for those who can afford the privilege. You don't deserve to live in a country where access to education is determined by the money in your bank. Act now. Save your bursary. Make education open to everyone.
