| 903 | Peg Sulmil | This arboretum is a national treasure! |
| 904 | Peg Sulmil | Our national arboretums are living treasures and irreplacable. |

| 914 | Annabel McIntyre | Our country needs a place of beauty which can foster education. The National Arboretum is a national treasure. Research is only one component of the mandate. Education should certainly not be cut back. This is a very unhappy decision. |
| 915 | Dinah Baumel | I am opposed to the dismanteling of so many of our public institutions. |
| 916 | Jin Li | |
| 917 | Tyler | Do not cut the Arboretum's funding. All of those plants. I can't imagine. Please don't. Bonsai needs to have outreach programs as most of America is unknowledgeable about them. |

| 919 | Paulette Kaplan | I was shocked and dismayed to learn that funding for our National Arboretum was cut. How can this be? How could this wonderful unique place be left to deteriorate? Clearly those that have to power to reduce funding for the Arboretum have never been there, especially in past years.
It is already showing signs of neglect because of caretakers, I imagine. I visited it during the azalea season and was sadly disappointed. I could not believe it. The last time I was there the plants were huge and lovely. Perhaps those have died out, for this was many years ago.
It would be a huge injustice to allow this place to totally deteriorate. We need it. People need to see these plants and learn about them and what a way to learn in such a lovely atmosphere. This can't remain lovely without proper funding, caretakers, and all of the rest of the necessities to maintain this wonderful space. We are so lucky, please help us keep our Arboretum. |

| 922 | Laurence C. Hatch | The potential loss of valuable plant germplasm from these unique plant collections will be a major setback to research for decades to come. The USNA is responsible for millions of dollars of development in the landscape and nursery industries. A cut at USNA will affect many other businesses including mine. |
| 923 | Randall L. Davis | To whom it may concern,
Please take the time to consider the significance of the national Arboretum means to the well being of the people of the United States. In this time where global warming and degredation of our national ecomony are impacting the average family, research and education of plant material will become ever more important to our national well being. Reduction of the budget for this organization is short-sited and should be rejected by the U.S. Congress. Restablishment of the "Victory-garden" movement of the 40's and 50's would go a long way to help the poorer of the U.S. citizens and emencely help the overall health and welfare of the U.S. ecomony. Sincerely, Randall L. Davis |
| 924 | Pauline F Muth | As President of ABS, I fully support restoring the full budget to the National Arboretum. Any reduction is truly short-sighted for the future of its valuable contributions to our country. |

| 926 | james leach | The national arboretum and specifically the national bonsai and penjing museum is a national and a world treasure. please consider strongly the negative impact this type of budget cut may have. |
| 927 | Philip Gatov | Please do not reduce the budget of this highly valuable institution. |
| 928 | Anonymous | It is imperative that we keep our national treasures in good working order and we maintain a good balance of order so that the millions of our citizens can enjoy this lovely area. Reject this budge proposal. |
| 929 | Roger Snipes | Please do not cut the budget for this worthy program. |
| 930 | Dan Boehmke | |
| 931 | Linda Sue Barnes | The National Arboretum is a national treasure that deserves more support, not less. Please do everything possible to increase the funding so this garden will not go into disrepair. |

| 937 | Kay Waldron | |
| 938 | Donna Doering | Just visit this place once and you will understand how sad it would be to let this treasure deteriorate. |
| 939 | joseph martin | |
| 940 | Gary R. Huff | Congress does certainly need to reject this short-sighted and harmful budget proposal and maintain this national treasure!!!! Thanks. |

| 942 | Mike Adams | some national and international treasures as well as gifts from other countries are kept alive and on display and the Natl. Arboretum. Some trees that survived Hiroshima. Close some of the Smithsonian. Theose artifacts are already dead. |
