| 801 | Kim Katzenbarger | I love the Nation Arboretum and I am saddened by the propsoed cuts. I work in NE and on nice days I like to escape from the office and picnic at the arboretum during lunch. I also enjoy the bonsai garden and exhibits. |
| 802 | Laura Schonfeld | Please save this great treasure in the city!!! |
| 803 | Isis Johnson | We have very few natural treasures left in this country, especially near within the the nation's capital. I would be extrmemly disappointed if this budget cut goes through. With all the development that goes on daily, DC and nearby residents need green space to enjoy. Please do away with the proposed budget cut. |

| 809 | Kristen Murphy | The Arboretum is an important contributor to the recreation/educational scene within the DC metropolitan area. The full moon hikes are my favorite event of the year and provide an experience like none other. |
| 810 | Naomi Zurcher | As a forestry professional and Chairperson or a not-for-profit dedicated to educating citizens on the benefits of the urban forest, I am greatly disturbed by the short-sited defunding of the National Arboretum and its programs at a time when a public understanding of the value of greenspace couldn't be more invaluable. |

| 812 | Natalie Edwards | National treasures should not be lost because our president and his friends are using our tax dollars to fund their war and get richer!! |

| 814 | Christine McElroy | I grew my children up in the DC area and we often loved to visit the Arboretum. Now my children are taking my grandchildren to play there. It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city that has been there for too many years to lose now. Take a tiny bit of the military budget and preserve something worthwhile. |
| 815 | Anonymous | We love the National Arboretum and can't imagine losing such a precious resource. |

to dramatically improve life here in the "homeland". |

| 828 | Marcia Coling | The Arboretum is one of my favoirte spots to visit with family and friends. It is a national treasure and deserves more funding, not less. |

| 833 | Eric Killian | Please stop giving my money away to those who don't work, a war we don't want and taking it from wonderful programs like this! |
| 834 | Daniel Trebbien | The Arboretum carries out critical research which helps to maintain the floral heritage of the United States. Most importantly, this research is described to the public so that it can have the largest impact - an activity which would vanish with a cut to funding of the Arboretum's Education and Visitors' Services Unit.
What good is carrying out research if it isn't described to the people who will make the best use of it? |

| 837 | Marla Bottesch | All the money we need for ANYTHING is in the Pentagon budget - They have such an OBSCENE amount of money that they can't even keep track of it.
This is such an easy decision to make; $2 million is NOTHING out of the Pentagon budget. Take it from there. |
| 838 | Susan Prutting | Please don't let this national treasure waste away! |
| 839 | Margaret Yoma Ullman | It is extremely shortsighted to cut back on the Arboretum's funding, which is already too low. It is indeed a regional and national treasure and is, moreover, right where major development is planned in the city. |
| 840 | Shilpa Patel | No no no no, it should in fact be given more funding. Its better to do something to help inform to save our planet than fund wars. |

| 847 | Alan R Lewine | As a Washington resident for many years, the arboretum was one of my favorite places, and I would visit several times a year - with my daughter, friends, family and alone. When the hours were cut back to a 5PM closing instead of dusk, it made the arboretum much less accessible and glorious summer evenings were foregone. Now I live near Philadelphia, and I still visit the arboretum a few times a year. What a wonderful space! Further cuts would be a grave disservice to our district and our nation. Don;t do it! |
| 848 | Michele Arthurs | |
| 849 | Pamala S. Burks | I wholeheartily support proper funding of this national treasure over funding a war no typical American wanted. |
