Dear President Obama:
Please consider our petition to implement National Science Day as a designated day of recognition in the United States. The aim of such a day would be to engage and inspire people of all ages with science and technology.
While several countries, including China, Britain, Australia, Canada, and Norway have national science weeks, online research shows that India seems to be the only country with a National Science Day.
A US National Science Day would provide an opportunity for all Americans to participate in focused events and activities that showcase science and would encourage young people to consider continuing studies in science.
