Name: G Balasubramanian on Nov 23, 2009Comments: I am residing in an apartment in the KHB Road, Sultanpalya. Recently I acquired this property after mobilizing finance from bank, friends, relatives and my own investment. I was a proud owner of this property for about 6 months. A few days back My apartment was marked in red indicating a length in meters. I understand, from others in this area, that this is any indication of the extent of land I stand to lose towards road widening. Commissioner sir, This is deeply disturbing to me and my family members, and we have not slept properly eversince this happend as we could not understand why we have to face this situation. I have purchased this apartment after ascertaining all pertinent documents and also after obtaining a legal opinion. We are all totally shattered in our familyFlag

Name: Sundar Raghavan on Jun 4, 2010Comments: I share a similar frustrated experience because of the unscientific road widening proposal around the Bannerghatta Road area. The proposal seems to be irrational and also there is no transparency on the details of this project. The markings on the compound walls are done without giving any details and this is more of an autocratic way of displacing people from their homes and taking away from them their lifetime investment. These are middle class people who are very religious in paying their taxes and this is what the government can do in return to them.Flag

Name: Sreemahesh on Jun 4, 2010Comments: Road widening is not the solution for the traffic congestion. The government should focus on having a better public transport system so that people would not be forced to use their personal mode of transportation. And on top of that offering TDR as the compensation doesnt make sense at all. People put on a lot of effort to finalize on an apartment to invest their lifetime savings and on one fine morning BBMP comes and marks the building for road-widening. Where are we supposed to go?Flag

Name: Ravishankar Thiagarajan on Jan 20, 2011Comments: I am an ordinary citizen and it pains my heart to see the trees being cut. I am not an expert in Law and infrastructure planning. But this much I know, we need to live with nature or else we dont have a sage haven for our children. Trees that take 100 years to grow cannot be cut by a single stroke so that motorists can go in peace. There should be other ways of improving traffic congestion and cutting trees is NOT the solution for thisFlag
