Having overcome a severe disability to become a leader, a counselor, a social worker, someone admired by governors, community and corporate leaders as well as everyday people, naming a school in her honor in the Red Clay School District would be a living and lasting reminder to all of the children in our district that they too can achieve at the highest levels of excellence in spite of overwhelming challenges and at the same time, smile.
