The Operator plans to introduce a version of Pick the Team in pre-season friendlies in July 2008. The system for picking the team has not been voted on by members, and does not reflect the findings of the PTT Working Group or the PTT poll. This is not acceptable to me. I require that a vote be immediately called with the following wording:
Q1: Who should pick the team
1) The Members
2) The Coach
3) Abstain
If the members will pick the team:
Q2: Should the coach give an indication of his preferred line up
1) Yes
2) No
3) Abstain
Q3: Who should pick the formation
1) The Members
2) The Coach
3) Abstain
Q4: What squad should Members pick the team from
1) The entire squad
2) 22 players selected by the coach
3) 19 players selected by the coach
4) 16 players selected by the coach
5) Abstain
Q5: Should the coach be able to make last minute changes due to:
1. Injury and illness (yes / no / abstain)
2. Disciplinary reasons (yes / no / abstain )
3. Tactical reasons after receiving opposition information (however this must be fully justified to members by the coach). (yes / no / abstain)
If the coach will pick the team:
Q6: Should the members continue to use a "dummy" team selector with results made available to members and the coach
1) Yes
2) No
3) Abstain
