Also, I have heard over and over from families visiting Maui that they would not be able to afford to stay here if they had to rent hotel rooms. Moderately priced accommodations for a family of 6, at a hotel (2 rooms) is cost prohibitive. This will significantly impact our tourist based economy.Flag

Many of my return guest who buy activites and Rent sports equipment and spend alot of money in my store stay in Vacation rentals. Most cannot afford a Hotel at $400.00 per night so they stay in something they can afford. The lost dollars to Maui is huge. Many of these type of guest to Maui will not return .Especially the Kite and Windsurfers. Make it legal and the keep an eye of them for the good of all.
