Comments: I do not in anyway want my house to be affected by this situation - it is already difficult to park in Musley Hill and will obviously get worse if the double yellow lines are placed down. Where do the council suggest we park if this comes into effect The parking is bad enough as it is.

Comments: Houses in Musley including mine have enough problems with parking and do not need further restrictions. Maybe residents parking permits are a better idea.

Comments: Seems to be no sensible reason why these parking restrictions are being suggested. It is only going to move the problem to surrounding roads.

Comments: As there are virtuaually no driveways or garges up musley Hill and the surrounding streets - adding yellow lines will just make it near on impossible for residence to park. Parking permits would be far more useful so residence could park near their house and those who park near the bottom of the hill to get on the train will no longer be able to do so

Comments: The planning department of the council and the highways department are totally in conflict with each other. Why allow large developments such as the trinity centre if the increased volume of traffic then adversely affects other side roads. Musley is mainly victorian houses in situ for many years - put the new developments elsewhere where the older roads will not be affected

Comments: And dont forget traders, there isnt enough long term parking as it is for those who work in the high street or for those who wish to shop there. Is this another nail in the coffin for the high street.

Comments: I live in the mid section of New Road and have seen the parking issues get worse over the last 15 years. It is now at the point where we have started discussions with the council to introduce residents parking for the spaces available on New Road. Any restrictions to the parking further up the road and on Musley Hill will only add to the problem at our end of the street!

Comments: Parking along New Road is severely stretched as it is. Additional restrictions will only make it worse for residents who will be forced to park even further from their homes, illegally or have to pay for the privelege in Kibes Lane as New Road is a free car park for rail commuters, High Street workers and shoppers, some of whom park at 7am and leave in the early evening, which with the existing parking restrictions make parking impossible for residents. Residents' parking, with structured spaces to avoid confusion, obstruction and space "hoggers" (those who straddle two car spaces) should be introduced.

Comments: We bought our house knowing that we could park outside on New Road outside our front door, the residents car park is always full when we get back from work and it's bad enough having station users parking outside our house on New Rd without the ability to park being reduced even more. Parking on New Rd should be for residents only anyway as town shoppers and station users regularly park outside our house and us and any of our visitors have to drive round Ware trying to find somewhere to park which is usually miles away from our house and simply causes a build up of parking and traffic elsewhere. As first time buyers we cannot afford a property with a drive and garage and don't think we should be penalised for living in a traditional terraced house. Please do not stop us parking outside our house, we love living here in Ware.
