I have spent my afternoons listening to the school board meetings and gathering the facts so we can prepare our formal presentation. The stories so many of you shared about how music shaped your own childhoods keep me focused on why we are doing this.

Seeing this community rally around the music program reminds me why I started this fight for my own children. The momentum we have built together is proof that Linden will not let these classes disappear without a struggle.

Linden has always had a great band program. Cutting the budget is a huge mistake. Fix the priorities!
Music class is the only reason my daughter even wants to go to school some days. Dont take this away from the kids.
SAVE THE MUSIC PROGRAM. It gives kids a place to belong.
My son learned so much from the music department. If they slash funding the quality is going to tank. Keep the standards high.
Keep the arts alive in our schools. Bad move to cut this.

This is rediculous. Arts are just as important as math and science.
