A recent decision by the Governor's Board of Hogwarts Online aims to make it so that no one "admin" member may hold any other "admin" position across the site - including, but not limited to Head of House positions and Head Student/Prefect positions.  As two members deeply affected by this decision, I (Gabriella Dubois/Karolina Eriksen) and Alana Auberjonois/Tallulah Brimstone would like to bring this issue to the Governor's Board for reconsideration as we both feel it is unjust and inappropriate.  No character should be penalized for their writer excelling in multiple areas of the site nor should any writer be penalized as well.  In fact, we feel as though we should be encouraging members to excel in more than one area of the site.  This type of decision will not only destroy Beauxbatons and Durmstang (as they are still rather small and rely on the activity of members who are also active at Hogwarts), but it forces writers to choose between the schools instead of encouraging them to spread their wings and explore everything that Hogwarts Online has to offer.

What we propose is that this type of decision be left to the Heads of Houses of Hogwarts Online.  We most certainly do not want for any one writer to be stretched too thin, but should a Head of House feel as though a writer has proven they are capable of handling an "admin" position at more than one school, they should be allowed to make such decision.  Should they falter in their ability to handle this responsibility, the Head of House reserves the right to replace them with another active writer.

Our aim in this petition is not to be disrespectful in any way but rather to peacefully gather together the other writers affected by this decision as well as all those members of Hogwarts Online who support our cause.  We aim to show the Governor's Board exactly how many people are affected by the decision that has been made and to express our interest in having a say in finding more justified alternatives to the decision that has been made.  If you would like to help us bring this issue to the reconsideration of the Governor's Board or if you simply want to show your support for the unjust oppression of writer's who excel in more than one area of the site, please add your name below.  (Only one character signature per writer, please)
