6253 AnonymousThe Tornado is arguably the most exciting of all the Olympic classes. The ISAF should consider adding a uni cat boat rather than dropping the two-up Tornado.
6254 Lex Kleinveldkeep the multihull fof the Olympics.
6255 J TuinmanFor a non-sailer sailing is in most classes not attractive to follow on TV. An exeption are the multihuls and the 49-ers. And just the multihul is banned, which is a major set back in making the sport more attractive for TV and publicity. The youth loves to sail on a multihul as it is much more sexier than on any monohul. Regards J Tuinman

6261 Geert BakkerI sail now and than a multihull. Multihull sailing has its own place in the sailing world and deserves therefore a Olympic qualification. The Tornado is till so far one of the most fine and delicate sailing multihulls in its class. The Olympics are 'special' and deserve 'special' boats. Removing the FD was already a big mistake. I would suggest to remove the Laser and the Yngling and bring back the FD and a metre/formula class eg the 5.5 metre.

6264 H.A. DorenbosOn sailing my own boat I admire the speed and the action a multihull can achieve . It will be a great loss for the entire sailing community if this type of boats will be excluded from the Olympics. It would be the same strange decission to argument that the 100 meters swimingcontest no longer participates in the Olympics in order to create room for another sport.

6269 PouleurThis is a merveillous sport who let dream a lot of person all over the world. Just see in a touristic catalog you will see a multihull (catamran). It's a complete physical and technical sport using the natural power of nature (wind).
6270 Michael StorerLook ... I am a 100% monohull sailor but this is the dumbest decision from the ISAF in a long time. It is time for the decision making to become transparent so that people are accountable for their voting. I am 200% behind all the multi, mono, keelboat and other sailors that are signing this petition. Keep fighting Tornados ... make the ISAF look like the bozos they really are and push for more transparancy in their decision making.
6271 Steve WalterMulithulls are a fundamental part of sailing history and contemporary practise. Catamarans are an affordable, fun and family friendly sailing boat.

6274 chris martinA ridiculous decision. Why not axe the boring mens Laser race as the singlehander for men is already covered by the aging Finn
6275 Michaek GriffithAs the fastest, most exciting (and consequently the most popular to watch) sailing category in the Olympics I cannot believe the ISAF could even consider dropping the Tornados from the Olympics. A dark time for Olympic Sailing indeed.

6283 Nick SargentA non sailing friend who thought sailing was boring watched the final race of the Olympic Tornado class and was amazed (so was I) at how fast, exciting and athletic it was. Those who want slow and obsolete boats plodding around a course should be ashamed. The old rich and out of shape have done a disservice to the sport of sailing: not many watching Stars racing will want to take up sailing. the same might be said for all of the other "Olympic" classes with the exception of the 49er and maybe the Laser. The Olympics is for the the young and fast. The Star Class, is not a cutting edge boat. The Tornado might be old, but it is still referenced as the ultimate catamaran hull shape and is still nearly 60 years more modern than the Star! If you have any honesty about what the Olympics should be, either bring back the multihulls, or remove sailing as an Olympic sport.

6292 olivier duboisI am a 470 sailor but find it stupid to suppress multihull from the olympic games. Please be as clever as for the laser, choose a popular sport !!!!!
