5753 Robert GARNERMultihulls are more likely to be the FUTURE of sailing and sail technology developement than any other form of the sport, to exclude this from the olympic games is a dissservice to the entire sport of sailing.

5758 Y GouxMultihulls is one of the most exiting way to sail. And most, it is a democrativ way to sail : do you know some sailing club suggested to sail Yingling or Finn ? Do you prefer to endure to go slowly or fast ?

5774 Stan BransomThough I currently own a single hull boat I have sailed Multihulls and plan to buy one in the future. From a sporting perspective for speed and performance they are superior in every way and what the public wants to see, raw speed and excitement. Why in the world would you not consider a multihull class for the olympics, are you living in a bubble? I am deeply saddened by the exclusion of multihulls and will boycott all viewing of olympic events as a consequence, you have left that bad a taste in my mouth. Cordially, Stan Bransom

5778 Howard Murphy, Jr.ISAF's decision simply does not reflect the spirit of the Olympics: letting the athletes of the world play the games that interest them and to which they wish to give their time, attention and energies. If ISAF decision-making were employed by other Olympic bodies, tennis players would be playing with wooden racquets, the basketball dunk would be illegal, and runners would be putting on leather shoes. Time, equipment, and athletics move on. The IOC, if not ISAF, must recognize that.
5779 Jacques EliezerIt's just unbelievable that the funniest and fastet way of sailing today remains ignored. Do we really want to have olympics without sailing???

5788 Xavier LaplancheAnd why not to supress Soling, Star and Finn ? To supress the most impressive sailing series is simply stupid.
5789 lavagna ericthe best thing will be to use F18 class to the next olympic games. We need to find multihull to the next olympic games because the multihull is the best way to test the new sailors.

5792 Jacopo BraccoIt's been sad to see the decline in popularity of sailing over the years. With the outrageous exclusion of the multihull category (and by consequence the Tornado) is another sign that the ISAF is out of tune with the expectations of the general public. I would dare argue that the ISAF is unconsciously pushing the sport into oblivion. With the already dismal performance of the event in Television, it is only a matter of time until the IOC considers cancelling sailing altogether from the games. For the good of the sport, reverse this decision; hire some television consultants and develop an event that is truly interesting to the general public and not to the limited sailing community.

5795 michaut maroussiaI don't practise multihull except on summer's holidays, but I DO love sailing and it would be a real shame to remove the multihulls from the olympics...
5796 Nigel HarrisThis decision is scandalous - not just the exclusion of multihulls, but the absence of a women's high performance dinghy in favour of match racing - yawn.....
