In Support of Mr. Muhamed Mubayyid

To the Honorable Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV, We, the undersigned, are writing in support of Mr. Muhamed Mubayyid. We have known Mr. Mubayyid to be kind, generous, hard-working, and respectful. A tireless volunteer in our community, he has never been one to seek recognition. Mr. Mubayyid and his family have been exemplary members of our community. Whether it\'s Mr. Mubayyid moving furniture or making repairs to our facilities, or his wife baby-sitting our children, the Mubayyids have always been a source of support to the community. For this reason, we stand behind Mr. Mubayyid, his wife and their children during this very difficult time. We ask that you show leniency to Mr. Mubayyid as he and his family are most deserving. Sincerely,

Comments: The Honorable Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV; My name is John Mubayyid; I am an interpreter and director of New Age Interpreting Services at Sydney, Australia. A Born-Again Muslim due to my beloved brother Muhamed's exemplary lifestyle. I was only 12 years old when my brother Muhamed left Lebanon heading towards U.S.A to continue his higher education in its respected universities. TO THE BEST OF MY RECOLLECTION NO ONE HAD EVER SAID A BAD WORD ABOUT HIM. At the age of 14, he was asked by our father, (the bread winner) to leave school and start work full time, in order to help supporting the big family, (10 -children) financially. I still remember how Muhamed started to beg our father not to force him into leaving High School, promising to work after hours on p/t basis, since he used to always be at the top of the top group of all his grades. As for our mother who has never stopped repeating the fact that Muhamed is the only son out of all her children who has never given her a hard time throughout all his living years, she is currently in a great deal of sadness, which is impacting hugely on her welfare. Back in 1994, Muhamad migrated to Australia to reunite with some of his brothers and sisters and later on with his parents. With the help of all of us, Muhamed was the main supporter of his parents during their first 2 years of settling in Australia, offering more than A.D $ 30,000.00 over the course of 2 years. That was only a small part of showing his gratitude to his parents. Needless to mention his contribution to the improvement of lifestyle of his loved ones, including myself and to the broader community, through volunteering his time with local associations. All that started to be displayed within a few weeks of his arrival into Australia, taking into consideration his main task of job-seeking which granted him a job as a software engineer in a respected company. Again, within a record time as it is always with OUR BELOVED MUHAMED. I had the opportunity of my lifetime, which helped reshape my life into becoming a person with vision and wothy purpose in life. Yes, it was his soft and sincere approach that tipped the scale. Having me as his guest to spend a few weekends at his residence in Australia, helped me to appreciate the value of time. It was an amazing experience to see Muhamed waking me up before dawn, holding a cup of hot milk in one hand and patting me softly on my back, with the other. That was the physical preparation, before heading towards the mosque to submit our day to the Creator. The same Creator, whom Muhamed has always had to monitor his every aspect of his life. The same Creator, to whom Muhamed was submitting his acts of worship, when he accepted an offer from a potential buyer for his car and refused another "better" offer made to him a few minutes after the first one. That was an act of worship to Muhamed. Your Honor Judge Saylor, I seek your forgiveness for my lengthy comments. I also would like to ask you to show leniency to Muhamed and his most beloved family: Jummana, Abdurrahman, Rayyan and Abdullah. They are in need to have their SOLID ROCK to lean on at all times. With all respect John Mubayyid.
