We are against doing the Embedded Academics: Basic Vocational Mathematics, Freshman Workbook. We feel that: - we shouldn't have to do this math, if we are already in a math class. - Tiring - Boring - Too many pages - takes too much time - We take tests on this anyway - ALREADY LEARNED!! - Takes away from shop time. - Shop teachers aren't trained in math - Too much focus on one subject Please consider getting rid of the tradition of having the freshman class have to work on 164 pages of mathematics over the course of 10 shop weeks. We are learning the skills for our shop, and we don't necessarily have the time and energy to do all of the math problems. We are asking you to please consider our petition seriously.
